Spreading the Joy of Mathematics

Mathematics, if taught with interesting localized applications, puzzles and logical explanations, can be made not only more meaningful and useful, but also a very joyful experience. We believe that logical, structured and abstract thinking abilities of children should be well developed irrespective of the career choices they make in the future.

With the intent of developing a love for mathematics at an early age, we conduct special interactive teaching sessions in government primary schools over a period of 4-6 weeks, with 2 classes per week. In these sessions we emphasize on deep and applied thinking rather than quick answers based on mechanical calculations. Students are given take-home puzzles and applied problems, which keep them highly engaged. Students explain their answers and with reason to the entire class.

Every year we celebrate the National Mathematics Day (Dec 22) by conducting mathematics contest for students from more than 10 government schools. On the day we also screen a movie or documentary related to Mathematics or Mathematicians.

We celebrate the National Science Day (Feb 28) by arranging a science model-making cum demonstration contest for students. Students from more than 10 schools enthusiastically participate in this contest.
