RCF in association with the Lakeview Hospital carried out Complete Blood Count (CBC) Test of 2,000 school children studying in 10 government schools in the Mahantesh Nagar education cluster of Belagavi.

Results and intervention: 40% of children were found to be anaemic. 110 children who had severe anemia were given proprietary haematinics for 3 months along with close monitoring. Children with mild and moderate were counseled regarding iron rich diet and compliances with government’s weekly iron and folic acid supplement programme.
