About us

Rajalakshmi Children Foundation, established in early 2013, is a non-profit organization working for the health, education and overall development of underprivileged children. We are primarily working with government schools, where most of the children come from economically and socially disadvantaged families. Although our geographic reach, as of today, is limited to the north-western part of Karnataka, our focussed, depth-oriented effort with personal touch is showing highly promising results.

Our Inspiration

We are inspired by the lives, teachings and philosophy of many for whom service of the needy was an opportunity for self-growth and self-realization. If we are to name a few they would be

  • Basavanna, the 12th century social reformer and philosopher
  • Swami Vivekananda
  • Late Smt. Rajalakshmi Variar, after whom the foundation is named.
